Job Description
Post Doctoral Fellowship (P.D.F.) (One year full-time, tenable at the Institute) conducts International Institute for Population Sciences
Eligibility: Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Population Studies or in allied subject of a recognised university. Desirable: Good publication in peer reviewed journal, publication of books and research reports.
No. of GOI Fellowships: 3
Age limit : 40 years as on 30.6.2016.
Fellowship: The selected Indian candidates will be awarded a Government of India fellowship initially for one year only and is extendable for one more year on genuine case. Each eligible candidate will be awarded the Government of India fellowship @ ` 50,000/- per month.
Fees: Five percent on monthly fellowship award for availing facilities viz; library, computer centre, internet and space.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be made on the basis of submission of comprehensive research proposal and interview. The Institute shall not bear travel expense of the candidates called for the presentation and interview.

It was established in Mumbai in July 1956, till July 1970 it was known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) and till 1985 it was known as the International Institute for Population Studies (IIPS).
