Job Description
Project:- Assessment and projection of annual cancer incidence at disctrict level by quienquennial age group and sex from 2021 to 2031 in Maharashtra
1. Position: Senior Research Officer
2. No. of Position(s): One
3. Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics/Demography/Population Studies OR M.Phil. degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics/Demography/Population Studies and one-year experience of working in Demographic and/or Health related research project, OR Master’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics/Demography/Population Studies and two-year experience of working in Demographic and/or Health related research project, At least degree/diploma/certificate in Population Studies/Demography and Statistics/ Biostatistics/Mathematics
4. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in research based on secondary data, utilizing terms and concepts related to projection methods. Exposure to cancer registration and data on cancer in India.
5. Salary: Consolidated salary between Rs. 37,000/- and Rs. 70,000/- per month on the basis of qualification and experience.
6. Duration: 6 months (likely to be extended till the tenure of the project)
7. Essential qualifications may be relaxed by the selection committee in case of a candidate found exceptionally suitable otherwise.
