The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) invites applications from exceptionally bright and motivated
individuals with an established record of high-quality research and development, and a strong
commitment to teaching for ONE unreserved position of Assistant Professor at the Economic Research
Unit of the Social Sciences Division of the Institute.
The candidate must have specialization in Econometrics and Time Series Analysis and should be capable of teaching-related courses in undergraduate and post-graduate programs of the institute.
Candidates with a statistics background will be given preference. In addition to teaching, his/her duties include independent research, consultancy/sponsored research, project works, research supervision, and participation in academic administration. Candidates with a statistics background are encouraged to apply. Women candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
• Ph.D. in the appropriate branch; • A first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout; • Should have at least 3 years of postPh.D. research/teaching/industrial experience.
Age: Preferably below 35 years
