Job Description
Objectives
To support the Cybersecurity program at Vidyatech, which includes but is not limited to, governance, policies and procedures, awareness and training, incident response, and vulnerability management. To communicate the Cybersecurity program to others within the organization at all levels, look for ways to improve the Cybersecurity program through updates to processes and technologies, and drive adherence to the Cybersecurity program.
Job Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure
- Study available tools and countermeasures and implement remedy for vulnerabilities
- Perform Cybersecurity incident response activities and communicate as appropriate to Management
- Assess damage to the data and infrastructure caused by Cybersecurity incidents
- Recommend recovery tools and processes
- Evaluate and develop new cyber security programs, policies, standards, and initiatives
- Test for compliance with security policies and procedures
- Assist with regulatory program initiatives and tasks
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and/or management of security solutions
- Provide feedback and recommendations to management on existing and new security technology and processes
- Lead client projects in Cybersecurity
Other Responsibilities:
Provide security support and guidance to other groups within Vidyatech
Develop and conduct Cybersecurity training for internal and external customers
Mentor junior team members in selected technology areas
Supervise and review the work of other team members
Job Qualifications
Mandatory:
- 6+ years overall professional work experience in IT field
- 3+ years of professional work experience in Cybersecurity field
- Experience with one or more Cybersecurity tools for endpoint protection, data loss prevention, advanced persistent threat, network security, application security, vulnerability assessment, mobile device management, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of how to assess infrastructure for vulnerabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - Ability to communicate clearly with technical/non-technical colleagues and customers
Can be added advantages if candidate has:
- Experience with any network analysis and penetration testing tools such as; BackTrack, Metasploit, Nessus, Rapid 7 Nexpose, NMAP and/or Wireshark
- Experience with any Symantec technologies such as SEPM, DLP, ATP, Altiris
- Experience in writing Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards
- Experience as Cybersecurity Trainer
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s/Engineering Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in related discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering)
- Certification in the one or more of the following areas:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Penetration Tester (GPEN)
- Security +
- Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
