Job Description
- Develop complex stored procedures, views and functions on MS SQL Server (2008 and 2012), utilizing strong TSQL experience.
- Create queries, index, statistics, execution plans and DB I/O performance tuning.
- Identify weaknesses in T-SQL Code and then improving those weaknesses for future releases.
- Utilize Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) to create and run SSIS packages and in generating models for reports with SSRS.
- Utilize software development principles and experience developing within the full life-cycle of a software product
- Analyze data requirements for business applications; develop data models and planning data migration/conversion strategies for internal and externally hosted applications.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database management skills of database administration, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis Provide standardization and consistency across environments
- This MS SQL Server DBA role requires a service oriented mentality with a high sense of ownership of the projects, problems and requests assigned. This role will be actively participating in a high energy development environment
