Job Description
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Development, Theming, customizing Wordpress Applications
- Develop high performance, highly scalable, custom development and/or plugin development for WordPress sites
- Integrating templates into content management systems
- Content updates, Module Development, Integration of Wordpress Applications (latest plugins, modules, approaches, etc.)
- Modify and customize plugins for our sites, create new plugins, as necessary
- Proficient with developing WordPress Themes and plugins
- Strong troubleshooting skills when plug-in conflicts occur
- Experience securing WordPress installs and user accounts
- Understand both the front and back end of WordPress
- Understand REST APIs and their integration int WordPress
- Support, extend and/or enhance existing code
- Write clean, well-documented code
- Expert knowledge of the following skills:
- Development Skills: Wordpress, PHP, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash and Fireworks
- Design Support: HTML/HTML5, XML, CSS/CSS3, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript etc.
- Database Skills: MySQL, SQLite, MS Sql
- Concepts: OOPS, MVC, SVN, CMS, Social Media, Business Intelligence etc.
Additional skills preferred:
- Knowledge of domain registration, DNS settings and management
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining WordPress servers
Other skills & Education:
- Familiar with Standards, Practices and Procedures
- Professional, friendly, and highly attentive communication
- Work well in a team environment
- Self-Starter, with strong time-management skills
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (or equivalent education qualifications) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
