• Expertise in the following environments or similar is required: Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC, Siemens Step7, DCS Platforms, ICONICS Genesis 32, Wonderware Intouch

• Responsibilities are carried out within a centralised structured environment whereby normal reporting is to the line manager. 
  

Responsibilities related to this position include:

• Requirement capture, development, implementation, test, and maintenance of Automation Software products.
  
• Handling support work, ensuring that a change management process is followed to produce a quality technical solution in short timescales.
  
• Interacting with clients.
  
• Ensuring allocated work scopes are produced within budget and timescale.
  
• Monitoring allocated work scopes and reporting current status, estimate to complete and resource requirements to Lead Engineer/Manager.
  
• Assisting Lead Engineer/Manager with estimates of effort and best technical solution.
  
• Ensuring all work activities are in accordance with Aker Solutions procedures.
  
• Working offshore/overseas as the role requires.
  
• Identifying processes and patterns of work areas and recommending procedures to improve standardisation and consistency of approach to Manager.
  
• Mentoring Engineers, and graduates in their day to day work.
  

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Degree with relevant industry experience
  
• Experience with development & programming of PLC and SCADA systems
  
• Demonstrable relevant Software Engineering experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
