Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
  • As an Iteration Manager, you will be integral to the invention and innovation process. You will be a servant-leader supporting development teams that are creating exciting solutions that change the way both IBMers and IBM clients work.
  • You'll work in a collaborative, welcoming environment where new ideas drive technological transformation through Agile ways of working.
  • We work in small, cross-functional teams with big goals, so you will need to be adaptive, adept at clear communication and a natural leader.

What you will do:
  • Must have worked in Agile Software Development Projects.
  • Should have Iteration manager experience and able to drive project per Agile principles.
  • Day-to-day communication with the team and customers from different locations to finds and remove roadblocks.
    Experience coaching teams in effective use of Scrum events: Daily Scrum, Backlog Review, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo and Retrospective.
  • Ability to resolve conflict with a continual focus on the Scrum values of openness, honesty, commitment, courage, and respect.

  • Adept at identifying and removing impediments slowing the Development team down, as well as shielding the team from external interruptions and distractions.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with stakeholders and Collaboration between customer and teams
  • Experience assessing squad Agile maturity and coaching teams toward constant self-evaluation and improvement at a sustainable pace.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you will need to work with Product Owners and stakeholders to help manage backlog and plan deliverables that add business value.
  • Experience working with modern project planning and collaboration tools



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 8-10 years of proven work experience as a Iteration Manager / Release Manager
    You have proven experience as Iteration Manager or Scrum Master in IT software or similar projects, with experience of successfully:
  • Collaborating effectively with the Product Owner and customer organisation supporting the management of the Product Backlog and planning deliverables based on empirical data.
  • Training the Development team in effort estimation, iteration planning for reliable delivery and making visible all work being done in the team.
  • Executing iteration and release planning with a view to deliver maximum value as early as possible.
  • Understanding individual and group interactions and facilitating conversations towards consensus aligned to relevant goals and priorities.
  • Working with the Product Owner and Development team to define sprint goals aligned to business value and the health of the organisation.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Certified SAFEe scrum master is desirable
  • Certified in PMI-ACP is desirable
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Proven organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think and work globally while maintaining focus on local support area.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with stakeholders and Collaboration between customer and teams
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical environment and translate business requirements to technical team
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver education/training
  • Demonstrated ability to create business cases
  • Demonstrated proven leadership skills and characteristics understanding and driving us of leading technologies and IBM business strategies
  • Proven communication skills
