Job Description
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of 01 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the National Agricultural Science Fund (NASF) project entitled “Studies on host pathogen interaction and development of vaccine against zoonotic coronaviruses” funded by ICAR, subject to the terms and conditions in force in ICAR/IVRI for such engagements.
1. The engagement is purely on temporary/contractual basis, coterminus with termination of the project or earlier without assigning any reasons thereof. The l ikely date of project completion is May 2023. The details of the post and eligibility criteria are mentioned below
2. National Agricultural Science Fund project on “Studies on host pathogen interaction and development of vaccine against zoonotic coronaviruses”
3. Post (Nos.): Senior Research Fellow (01)
4. Emoluments: Rs.31000/- per month + HRA
5. Essential qualification: MVSc or MSc degree in Biotechnology or Microbiology or Life Sciences subjects with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience
Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience
6. Desirable qualification: Experience in gene cloning, animal cell culture with analytical skills related to assessment of serological assays and immune response. Experience in handling mice. Good knowledge of computers including research data analysis.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit as on the date of interview shall be 35 years. A relaxation of 5 years in case of women candidates is applicable.
