Assistant Professor /Research Scientist Jobs opportunity in Jamia Millia Islamia

Assistant Professor (Reserved for Hearing Impairment) (XII Plan)

Qualification : i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Assistant Professor (XII Plan)

Assistant Professor (Department of Commerce & Business Studies)

Qualification : Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at Master of Commerce level from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Assistant Professor (Department of Adult & Continuing Education & Extension)

Qualification : Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Assistant Professor (Department of Bio-Chemistry)

Qualification : M.D. (Biochemistry)/ MBBS with M.Sc. (Med. Biochemistry) M.Sc. (Med. Biochemistry) with Ph.D. (Med. Biochemistry)/ M.Sc. (Med. Biochemistry) with D.Sc. (Med.Biochemistry). Teaching & Research experience (i) Requisite recognized postgraduate qualification in the subject. (ii) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college as resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.

Assistant Professor (Department of Periodontology (X Plan-SG)

Qualification : A recognized MDS Degree of an Indian University/Diplomate of National Board or an equivalent qualification.

Assistant Professor (Department of Public Health Dentistry (XI Plan)

Qualification : A recognized MDS Degree of an Indian University/Diplomate of National Board or an equivalent qualification.

Assistant Professor (Faculty Of Law)

Qualification : i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Assistant Professor (Department of Electronics & Comm. Engg)

Qualification : First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech). ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: 1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Assistant Professor (Department of Architecture)

Qualification : First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture OR (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; and (ii) First Class Master’s Degree in Architecture.

Research Scientist ‘A’ (Non-Plan)

Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Mass Communication/Development Communication from a reputed organization. (ii) Intensive experience in Communication/Media Research involving collection and analysis of field data. (iii) Three years of teaching and/or research experience with the latest tools/softwares used for the media research.

Assistant Librarian

Qualification : i. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted form the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director of Physical Education/College Director of Physical Education & Sports.

Technical Assistant

Qualification : Dip. in (Civil/Elect./Mech.) with 3 years experience/I.T.I. Certificate or equivalent (after High school) with 10 years experience/I.T.I. Certificate or equivalent (after Class VIII) with 15 years experience/Class VIII with more than 15 years experience in concerned trade/Lab.

Electrician

Qualification : 10th Pass or ITI equivalent. Wireman’s (Grade-I) Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized Institution or Authority with at least 2 years experience in the line concerned. Desirable: Knowledge of Urdu & Hindi.
