Jr. Assistant (Dist.) recruitment in District Agricultural Officer, Darrang, Mangaldai.
Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt. The candidates must possess Diploma (at least 3 months tenure) in Computer application.
The skill of Data Entry and typing in English & Assamese will be tested on.

The District of Darrang was created with effect from July'1983 converting the erstwhile Sub-Division of Mangaldai. The name Darrang was derived from the Bodo word Dourang, which means 'Lilabhumi' (Playground) of Gods. According to Scholar Late Dineswar Sarma, the word Darrang came from Dawrang which means gate, as there was direct entry to Bhutan and from there to Nepal, China etc. Gradually this was known as Darrang.
