Job Description

One (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow in the DST-SERB sponsored research project entitled “In vitro studies to investigate the therapeutic approach of editing the defective exon 3 of the human CHST6 gene associated with Macular Corneal Dystrophy through the CRISPR-Cas9 technology”

Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Human Genetics / Life sciences / Zoology / Biochemistry or allied Sciences or M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate and qualified NET/GATE/BET/ICMR-JRF entrance examinations or similar examination.

Desirable: Candidate having prior research experience in the field of “Genome editing” or handling mammalian cell cultures is preferable.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.

Duration: Up to 25/03/2022 or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age as on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India Rules.
