Job Description
- Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur
- Applications are invited for the post (1 No.) of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on DST-SERB Extra Mural Research funded project (EMR/2016/003320).
- Title of the Project: Nanoparticles of different shapes conjugated with drugs to achieve enhanced therapeutic efficacy in treatment of cancer
- Duration of the project: 3 years
- Emoluments: Rs. 25, 000 p.m. for first two years and Rs. 28, 000 p.m. for third year as sanctioned by DST.
- Essential Qualification: M.E/M.Tech or B.E/B.Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/ Bioprocess engineering/ Nanotechnology/Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology.
- GATE score NOT compulsory (M.E/M.Tech Candidates appearing for the last semester can also apply).
- Selected candidate will have to register for Ph.D . program following institute norms.
- Conduct research and perform various biochemical assays for nanoparticle-based delivery of drugs to cancer cell lines.
- Collaborate with scientists and technical personnel of Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur and participate in collaborative efforts of other laboratories and institutes.
- Design experiments, execute and analyze results. Write scientific reports; publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals, national and/or international conferences.
- Note: The post is purely temporary in nature and initial appointment will be for one year, extendable for next 2 years based on performance.
