Applications are invited from interested candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DST funded project to be undertaken in Department of Chemical Engineering at NITK Surathkal in collaboration with IIT Bombay.
1. Title of the Project: Integrated Photocatalytic and Membrane Bioreactor Process for Effective Removal of Emerging Contaminants and Disinfection.
2. Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST), GoI under Water Technology Initiative (WTI)
3. Principal Investigator: Dr. Vidya Shetty K Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal
4. Project Duration: Three years
5. Post advertised: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
6. Number of posts: 01
7. Nature of Appointment: Temporary and Co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of two years and the appointment will be extended for one more year based on performance review
8. Desired qualification: Candidate must have M.E/M Tech or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/Nanotechnology/Environmental Engineering/Industrial Biotechnology or related Specializations from a reputed Institute/University with at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years. Preference will be given to GATE -qualified candidates.
9. Monthly Emoluments: For GATE qualified candidates: Rs.31,000 + 16% HRA for the first two years Rs.35,000+ 16% HRA for the last one year For Non-GATE candidates: Rs.25,000 + 16% HRA for the first two years Rs.28,000+ 16% HRA for the last one year
10. Additional Information: The Candidate selected as JRF will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. programme in Department of Chemical Engineering at NITK Surathkal through the Ph.D. admission process of the Institute.
