Applications are invited in the prescribed format only for the following assignment in a purely
time bound research project undertaken in this institute.
1. (a) Name of the temporary assignment : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
(b) Number of Post : One (01)
(c) Duration of Post : 2 Years
2. Name of the temporary research project : “Design and Implementation of Orbital Angular
Momentum (OAM) Assisted Spectrally Efficient Wavelength Division Multiplexed Communication System Using Conventional Optical Fibers”
3. Name of the sponsoring Agency : Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB),
IMPRINT-II, Govt. of India
4. Consolidated Fellowship : Rs. 30,000/- per month
6. 5. Qualifications & Experience : The candidate desirably should have M.Tech./M.E
degree with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks. The upper age limit for applying for the
Junior Research Fellow position shall be 28 years (for qualifying degree BE/B Tech/M Sc) or 32
years (for qualifying degree ME/M Tech/MS). Relaxations will be given as per the GoI rules.
Candidates should have B.Tech./B.E. in Electrical Engg., Electrical and Electronics Engg.,
Electronics Engg., Electronics and Telecommunication Engg. or Electronics and Communication
Engg or relevant branch AND M.Tech./M.E. degrees in Signal Processing & Communication
Networks, Communication Systems or Electronics and Communication Engineering or relevant
specialization.
Preference shall be given to the GATE (in EE / ECE) qualified candidates having
knowledge/experience in the field of Optical Communication Engg., Signal processing.
