Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / 01Post
Name of the Project “Molecular and chemical ecology of the biological pest control: plant-mediated RNAi-based investigation of counteradaptations of diamondback moth and its parasitoid against Brassicaceae’s glucosinolate-myrosinase defense system'Project Code 30818405
Minimum educational Qualifications & Experience : Masters or equivalent degree in any branch of life-sciences With valid CSIR-NET (Life Sciences) / GATE (Life Sciences) / CSIR-RF / DBT-JRF / any other equivalent scorecard.
Experience: 1. Agriculturally important insects, their rearing, dissections and bioassays
2. Basic plant molecular biology and biochemistry experimentation
3. Gene cloning, recombinant expression and agroinfiltration
4. Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation
5. HPLC and LC-MS based analyses, 6. Statistical analyses like ANOVA, correlation, etc. Preference Candidates with at least one peer reviewed international publication will be preferred.
Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA per month
Age : Not more than 28 years as on closing date of advertisement.

Minimum educational Qualifications & Experience: Up to Class VIII with Marathi, Hindi and English reading writing and communication skills .
1. Handling agriculturally important insects 2. Working in agricultural field 3. Soil testing Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of six months extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments :Rs. 12000/- per month
Age: Not more than 35 years as on closing date of advertisement.
