Project Title : “Biochemical composition of Bombay duck fish and functional characterization of its muscle proteins”
Qualification Essential : MFSc Post harvest technology/ at least 7.0/10.0 OGPA, or 70% of marks. Desirable : Working background on aspects of fish protein, encapsulation, microbial activity
No. of Fellowships : One
Emoluments : Rs. 25000/- month plus 30% HRA (JRF) OR Rs. 28000/- month plus 30% HRA for the candidate with 2 years’ experience as JRF (or SRF of earlier ICAR schemes) will be considered for SRF as per ICAR guidelines. PhD holders would also be considered for or SRF

The Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai was established in the year 1961, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. The Administrative control of this Institute was transferred to ICAR in 1979. Subsequently, the scope and mandate have been widened to include education, research and extension. Recognising the pivotal role played by the Institute in Human Resources Development in fisheries, the Institute was accorded the status of Deemed-to-be- University in March, 1989
