JRF Forensic Science job vacancies in Gujarat Forensic Sciences University
First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10point scale in M. Sc. material science from a recognized university.
Consolidated salary: Fellowship of Rs. 25,000/-per month
Walk-in Interview will be conducted for ONE post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under IMPRINT-MHRD Scheme, Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), India, sponsored research project titled “Non destructive damage detection and damage quantification in composite (HAP) panels:” File No: IMP/2018/001756. The staff will be appointed initially for one year (purely on temporary basis) and the services may be extended till the end of the project based on the performance review.
Eligibility: First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in M. Sc. in Forensic Science preferably with the specialization in physics/ ballistics (JRF-NET Qualified
candidates would be given preference or
First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in B.tech/B.E in mechanical engineering (or) allied specializations from a recognized institution with valid GATE score.
First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10point scale in M. Sc. material science from a recognized university.
Duration: Initial appointment for a period of one year.
Age Limit:32 years as on the last date for application submission.
Consolidated salary: Fellowship of Rs. 25,000/-per month

The Gujarat Forensic Sciences University was established by the Government of Gujarat vide an Act No. 17 of 2008 passed by the Gujarat Legislative Assembly dated 30th September,2008 with an objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against increasing demand of forensic experts in the country & the world. The main objective of the University to make the Criminal Justice Delivery System techno Savvy and it would help overcome the actual shortage of skilled manpower engaged in this field. It became functional from Feb, 2009 and was recognized by the University Grants Commission as a State University under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 to award degrees in May, 2011.
