Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of post of “Junior Research Fellow” (JRF) on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Role of alpha-synuclein phosphorylation in dopaminergic neuron dysfunction” – under the guidance of Dr. Indrani Datta, Associate Professor of Biophysics & Principal Investigator.
1. Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. No. of posts: One
3. Essential Qualification: M.Sc degree in any field of Life science/physics/ Biophysics/Chemistry with a good academic record. CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification will be Necessary.
4. Desirable experience: Candidates with experience of molecular biology, cell culture & western blot are encouraged to apply.
5. Nature of work: The project covers extensive Live-cell imaging and flow cytometry techniques in detecting functional parameters (intracellular calcium, mitochondrial membrane potential, exocytosis & endocytosis) of neuronal cells, protein and gene expression studies.
6. Salary: Rs.31,000/- + 24% H.R.A For Non NET/GATE candidates Rs.16,000/- + 30% H.R.A.
7. Duration of the Project: 5 months
