Job Description
Junior Research Fellows (JRF Life Sciences)
Two positions are vacant for carrying out metabolic engineering research on algal
strains to enhance biomass productivity and alter lipid content in the DBT- BioEnergy/
Mission Innovation program supported by the Department of Biotechnology,
Government of India; to contribute in the area of bioenergy using innovative synthetic
and systems biology approaches.
Qualification: MSc/M.Tech in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology. GATE; CSIR NET–JRF/LS or DBT JRF Cat. I/II will be preferred.
Experience: Wet lab research experience is mandatory, for carrying genetic engineering and biotechnological research in photosynthetic organisms.
Remuneration: Scales of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Duration: 2-3 years.
