Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a SERB (DST) funded research project entitled "Deciphering the regulation of PiwiL in Cancer Stem Cells" in the Laboratory of Dr. Ani V Das at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

2. Essential Qualifications: The candidate must have consistent academic record with first class Master's Degree in Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology. Should have good communication skills. The candidate must have minimum of 1 year experience in mammalian cell culture.
3. Desirable Qualifications: Candidate who have qualified National Eligibility Test - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ or National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions viz., DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR Entrance Exam/ Approved DST Inspire Fellowship etc are preferred. Candidates with good knowledge in Molecular Biology Techniques are preferred.
4. Emolument: ₹ 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates. For others the emoluments will be as per DST/DBT guidelines.
5. Duration: Three Years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier. Initial appointment will be for a period of one year and extendable till termination of the project based on performance evaluation on yearly basis.
