Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound
research project undertaken in the School of Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences of this Institute.
1. Name of the Temporary Assignment : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 Position
2. Name of the temporary research Project : “Development of long‐term high resolution Land Use Land
Cover (LULC) data for Bhubaneswar peri‐urban & rural areas
and future projection”.
3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : SPLICE/DST
4. Consolidated Emolument : Rs. 25,000/‐ + HRA @16% per month (may be revised as per
approval)
5. Qualification & Experiences : M.Sc. with at least one of mathematics or Physics in UG and
1st class in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ Atmospheric
Science/ Physics/ Oceanography/ Environment Science
Or
B.Tech/ M.Tech with 1st Class in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing (Science Stream)/ Civil Engineering (CSIR‐JRF/INSPIRE/GATE qualified and M.Tech through GATE are preferable)
Desirable:
i. Experience in RS & GIS Software Applications, experience in RS Data Collection and analysis
ii. Experience in statistical, numerical modelling and soft‐computing techniques
