Job Description
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
to work in a DST Project number IMP/2018/000216, with the titled, ‘Micro green roofing.’
No.of Post: 1
Emoluments: Rs. 31000/-+HRA per month for 2 years and Rs. 35000/- per month for 3rd year and beyond in case the same JRF converts into a regular research scholar. Hostel and mess facilities may be provided on payment basis, if available or HRA would be provided.
Essential Qualifications: As per DST rules. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with desirable background in automation or design OR Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with background in modeling of unsaturated flow/ soil-water-plant interaction with hands-on experience of HYDRUS or similar tools OR Master’s degree in Agriculture Engineering with desirable background in horticulture or agriculture automation All applicants must be GATE/NET qualified, however score need not be valid at the time of application.
The selected candidate will be involved in the design and development of roof top gardening, solar systems with automation. Extensive field work may be involved.
Desirable criteria: a) Basic knowledge of horticulture or agriculture and roof top gardening b) Hands-on experience in field work c) Good knowledge of automation and CAD modelling and analysis of experiments
