Job Description
Applications are invited for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF Mechanical Engineering ) in the project entitled “Theoretical and Experimental Study of Wave
Proopagation in Granular Metamaterials” sponsored by SERB-Extra Mural
Research.

Qualification and experience: B. Tech./B. E. in Mechanical Engineering/Civil
Engineering/Aerospace Engineering with a valid GATE score or M.
Tech./M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/ Aerospace
Engineering.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of using CAD modeling software and basic drawing interpretation skills, Finite Element Analysis for application in continuum/solid mechanics and working knowledge of commercial FEA software like ABAQUS/Ansys, mathematical analysis tool like Matlab/Mathematica.
Candidates should have good understanding of nonlinear dynamics and vibrations. Experience in conducting physical experiments will be preferable.
