Job Description
1. Name of the project: DBT Funded Project Association mapping for identification of genomic regions/QTLs for drought tolerance in lentil (Lens culinaris) Pl: Dr. Ruchi Bansal, Scientist (SS), Division of Germplasm Evaluation, ICAR- NBPGR, New Delhi
2. Post: Junior Research Fellow (One)
3. period: Upto March, 2022( Co terminus with the project whichever is later)
4. Emoluments per Month: Rs.31,000/-+ 24% HRA
5. Qualification:
a. Essential: Master's degree in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Botany/ Genetics/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences/ Plant Genetics Resources/ Equivalent degree.Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science should have NET/GATE qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional course above given.
b. Desirable: Research experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, genetics and plant breeding. Working knowledge of statistical data analysis is desirable.
Age Limit:
Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation of five years for women (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules) Minimum requirement 55% marks in Master Degree.

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
