Job Description
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in DBT funded project on contractual basis.
Project Title: “Identification of effector candidates from necrotrophic plant pathogen, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and its target proteins in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea)
Junior Research Fellow No. of Positions: 01 (One) Emoluments (per month): Rs. 31000 + 24% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35000+24 % HRA for 3rd year and onwards
Essential qualifications: Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life science/ Plant Pathology with four years Bachelor’s degree with NET/ GATE qualification selected through a process described through any norms given in DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z08/2018 i.e., i) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR, UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE ii) The selection process through a national level exam conducted by Central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable: Hands-on working experience in molecular biology techniques /DNA-Protein interaction / Bioinformatics for host-pathogen interaction studies.
Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for JRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC candidate as per ICAR guidelines on the date of interview
