Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound
research project undertaken in the School of Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences of this Institute.
Junior Research Fellow – 1 Position
Name of the temporary research Project: “Quality control of HF Radar Surface currents for investigation of Sub-Mesoscale Coastal Processes and its use for assimilation in the INCOIS model”.
Consolidated Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- + HRA @16%per month
Qualification & Experiences : M.Sc. or M.Tech with 1st class in Physics/ Mathematics/Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences/ Computer Sciences or related subject selected through National Eligibility Test
(NET)** with good academic background.
Desirable: Working experience in MATLAB/ Python in the field of Physical Oceanography with strong background in Mathematics
Period of Engagement : From date of joining to end of the project i.e. 31.03.2021.
** NET Qualification:
i. CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test including NET- Lectureship
ii. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by MHRD
iii. Joint Admission Test (JAM) conducted by MHRD
iv. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST), conducted by Department of Atomic Energy.
