Job Description
ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow. The position is based at ICRISAT- Patancheru Hyderabad and reports to the Theme Leader- Pre-breeding.
Requirements: Post Graduate (M.Sc./ M. Tech) in Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Botany from a reputed university with good academic record. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a research institute, university or private sector company . Ability to work under field conditions for extended hours
Good knowledge of data management methods and ability to use spreadsheets and statistical software .Candidate having hands-on experience in wide hybridization, plant tissue culture techniques and use of molecular markers preferred.Proficiency in spoken and written English,Good knowledge in data analysis desirable,Good team player and adaptable to working in a multicultural team
General:The position is for two years 10 months, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
