JRF / Postdoctoral (RA) Basic Science recruitment in National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) on contract basis

Project :'Understanding and design of 3-D domain-swapping in proteins'

Qualifications for JRF: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate (or Post Graduate) Degree in a Professional Course with NET qualification

Qualifications for RA (postdoc):Ph.D. in Protein Biochemistry and Structural Biology

Both JRF and RA applicants should have demonstrated expertise in mutagenesis, protein purification and biophysical characterization. Experience with protein structural characterization (X-ray crystallography or NMR) is desired for the JRF applicants and necessary for the RA applicants. A strong interest in understanding molecular interactions in proteins and protein design is also preferred.
