Recruitment Notice for the contractual post of Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant

Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with monthly fellowship of Rs.31,000 per month plus 24% HRA and one post of Project Assistant with a consolidated emolument of Rs.22,000 in a DST funded project titled ‘Archaeometric study of technology of archaeological pottery from the pre and early Harappan settlement at Kunal, Haryana’.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Postgraduate degree in Chemistry/Material Science, selected through any one of the following processes: i. CSIR-UGC NET or GATE ii. Selection through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DAE, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Project Assistant: Graduation in Engineering or Science with one-year experience in the field Archaeology. 

Selection Criteria: Only shortlisted applicants will be called for personal interaction with the Selection Committee to select the Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant on the basis of their qualification, working experience and performance. 

Age limit: Not to exceed 40 years on the last date of issue of this advertisement. Relaxation in age for deserving candidates, if any, shall be at the sole discretion of the competent authority of NMI.
