Notification for a Research Position in a DST-SERB CRG Funded Project

Project entitled “Systems approach to dissect the novel Oacyltransferase role in TAG biogenesis towards the promising fourth generation bioenergy feedstock”

Essential Qualifications for JRF (as per DST-SERB Norms): M.Sc. Biotechnology or related disciplines through a process described through any of the following: (a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE; (b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. Candidates who do not fall in category of ‘(a)’ and ‘(b)’ will be considered for the post of Project Associate I.

Emoluments & upper age limit: As per the DST-SERB norms.

Desired Qualifications: Candidates with rich experience in molecular biology tools, algal cultivation techniques, genetic transformation, generation of GM plants/algae will be given preference. Duration: Appointments will be made purely on a temporary basis initially for one year, which may be extended till duration of the project, solely depending upon performance. The position is co-terminus with the completion of the research project.
