Job Description
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary positions in the following projects/schemes under the supervision of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR.
JRF /Project Associate

1.Junior Research Fellow - (1 Post)
Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project.

SERB project entitled “Genome-wide identification and characterization of fusion events in different plant species”.
Eligibility: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019 and having M.Sc. degree/M.Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equivalent are eligible to appear for interview.
Candidates having prior research experience in plant molecular biology or Bioinformatics will be given preference.

2.Junior Research Fellow – (1 Post)

Eligibility: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019 and having M.Sc. degree/M.Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equivalent are eligible to appear for interview. 3.Project Associate -I (01 post)

"Short-Term Research Fellowship" programme of NIPGR.
Eligibility: Candidate having a M.Sc./M.Tech. degree (with minimum of 60% marks overall) or equivalent in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any other related field are eligible for interview. Candidates having prior experience in the area of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis, database and web-servers, Machine learning and big data analysis will be preferred.
Project Associate -II (One post)

Eligibility: Candidate having a M.Sc./M.Tech. degree (with minimum of 60% marks overall) or equivalent in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any other related field with two years post M.Sc./M.Tech. experience are eligible for interview. The fellowship amount for the above positions is at par with the similar fellowships by DST/DBT or as sanctioned in the project.
