JRF Remote sensing job recruitment in International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad.
Project Title : “Canopy spectral biochemical analysis of
forest species using hyperspectral remote sensing – a case study from Eastern
Ghats forest ecosystems”
Essential Qualifications: M.E. /M. Tech in Remote sensing /GIS/ Geomatics / Geoinformatics OR M.Sc in Remote sensing/GIS/Geomatics/Geoinformatics/Forestry/Geography with valid GATE/NET Score.
Desirable:
(i) Good working knowledge of different GIS, remote sensing and Statistical software’s
(ii) Knowledge of remote sensing data analysis in forestry domain (Preferably working with Hyperspectral data)
(iii) Knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis
(iv) Good programming skills in IDL/Matlab/Python
(v) Good oral and written communication skills
(vi) Willingness to participate in extensive field visits in
forest ecosystems of Eastern ghats
Stipend: Rs. 25000/- + HRA (as per DST norms)
Duration of the project: Projected started in June 2016 and
ends by May 2019. The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of one
year, which can be extended till the duration of the project depending on the
performance of the candidate. The selected candidates must register for PhD
Programme.
