Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of ‘Junior Project Fellow’ in the Department of ‘Humanities
and Social Sciences’ at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, for a ISRO sponsored research
project titled “Modelling Forest Phenological Parameters from Time Series Remote Sensing Data”
Key skills required: Remote Sensing, GIS, R/ Python based programming, Forest monitoring, measurement, Phenology measurements, Ecological field work.

Experience Required: Experience in Remote Sensing and GIS analysis; Experience in field work in
forests, vegetation monitoring, phonological measurements, and any work experience with PhenoCAM
will be highly valued
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): INR 28,000 (fixed) in 1st year, Increments in 2nd and 3rd year
Qualification: Masters (MSc./M.Tech) in a relevant subject (Forestry, Ecology, Remote Sensing & GIS, or related) or B.Tech with two years of research experience in the relevant field. Note: Selected candidate will get a chance to apply for PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable)
