JRF/Research Associate Biotechnology job position in National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB)
Title : Indo-UK Centre for Improvement of Nitrogen Use Efficeincy in Wheat (INEW)
Junior Research Fellow
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Plant Sciences with specialization in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Agriculture with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Postgraduate Degree in Professional Course Desirable: Experiences in Isolation and characterization plant metabolites, [and /or] Biochemical assays, [and /or] Molecular Biology Techniques [and /or] Bioinformatics Age limit: As per the rules. Relaxation of Age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Women will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
Emoluments: Rs. 25000
Research Associate
Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Bioinformatics/ allied sciences. OR First class Master's degree in any discipline of Plant Sciences with specialization in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Agriculture having I st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate ship. 2. NET qualification is essential for the candidates with 3+2 years B.Sc.+ M.Sc. Desirable: At least three years' research experience in plant (preferably rice) transformation; Genomics/ NGS data analysis, thorough knowledge of advanced molecular biology techniques and ability to draft manuscript for high impact factor joumals. Experience substantiated by publications of high quality will be preferred.
