JRF / SRF Biotechnology/Project Assistants job recruitment in National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases.
PROJECT 1: DBT funded North Eastern Region Biotechnology Program titled “Advanced Animal Disease Diagnosis and Management Consortia (DBT-NER-ADMaC)”.
Project 2: DBT-Twinning project titled “Viral Metagenomic profiling of native and migratory aquatic birds of Northeastern states to unravel influenza virus ecology harbored in them”.
PROJECT 3: BBSRC-DBT sponsored Indo-UK Collaborative project with Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, UK, titled 'Identification of molecular basis of differential host response to rapidly evolving avian influenza viruses in different avian species'.
JRFs / SRFs / 03 Posts (One each under DBT-NER-ADMaC Project, DBT Twinning Project and Indo-UK, BBSRC-DBT Project).
Qualifications Essential Degree: M.V.Sc/M.Tech/M.Sc in one of the following disciplines. (Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics /Microbiology/Bioinformatics or any other Life Science discipline) For candidates with Post graduate degree in basic science, NET qualification (UGC/ICAR/ICMR/CSIR) or equivalent is essential for consideration of candidature as SRF.
Desirable: The candidates should have strong background in handling tools of molecular biology, virology, cell culture, lab animal experiments with basic knowledge of infectious diseases diagnosis, host-pathogen interactions and bio-informatics. Note: Previous research experience only as JRF/SRF/RA for atleast 2 years will be considered for employment as SRF. Others with less than 2 years of experience will be considered for JRF only.
Pay Scale : For JRF: Rs.25,000+20%HRA For candidates with Graduate Degree in professional course or Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET (UGC, CSIR, ICAR, ICMR) qualification. Without NET the emoluments will be Rs. 12000+20%HRA. For SRF: Rs.28, 000+20%HRA. (The emoluments will be as per the DBT guidelines) .
Age Limit : Max. 35 years for men and 40 years for women
