Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow Earth Sciences

Job Summary
Applications are invited for temporary position of a SRF/JRF position in a research project on
“Development of a predictive geomorphic model as a tool for sustainable river management” funded
by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
Duration: The positions will be for one-year duration, which may be extended on the basis of satisfactory performance and availability of project fund.
Essential Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Master’s degree in Earth Sciences/Civil Engineering/Geospatial
Sciences/Hydrology or related area. Candidates should have qualified GATE/NET examination.
Candidates selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institution such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc will also be considered.
Senior Research Fellow SRF: Qualification required for JRF positon + 2 years’ experience as JRF or
equivalent position.
Salary: SRF (Rs. 35000 + 24% HRA*) or JRF (Rs. 31000 + 24% HRA*) (* if applicable)
