Job vacancies in North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) on contract basis
Project entitled, “Prevalence of hemoglobinopathies in indigenous tribes of Meghalaya with genetic analysis and study on the role of genetic modifiers
JRF /SRF /2 Posts
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification OR graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification OR Post graduate Degree in Professional Course (Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Zoology)
Age: 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per rules)
Pay Scale : JRF@Rs. 25,000/- +20% HRA for the 1st & 2nd year SRF@ Rs 28,000/-+20% HRA for the 3rd year JRF without NET qualification shall be Rs 12000/-+HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 14000/- + HRA for 3rd year for SRF.
Medical Social Worker /1 Post
Essential: 1.Master degree in Social Work/Applied Sociology from a recognized University 2. One year practical experience as Social Worker with a Government Organization in a health related field or reputed Welfare or Health Agencies recognized by Government dealing with Medical/ Public Health Service
Desirable: 1 year experience in field work.
Age: 35 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 27800

an Autonomous Institute established by Government of India in 1987
under the Meghalaya Registration of Societies Act 1983. The then Prime
Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi dedicated the Institute to the memory of Late
Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister for her commitment to the welfare
and affection for the people of North Eastern Region. It has now been
designed as a Postgraduate Medical Institute in the lineage of AIIMS,
New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. NEIGRIHMS has been the First and the
only Postgraduate Medical Institute in the North Eastern Region and
third in the country established by Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, Government of India.
