Junior Project Fellow/ Field Assistant/ SRF job Position in North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology on temporary basis

Title of Project and Funding Agency

1. Exploring wildlife and nature based tourism as potential livelihood option for local people inhabiting in and around the protected areas in Eastern Himalayas, Arunachal Pradesh: a sustainable approach for biodiversity conservation”

2. “Status survey and potential threats of threatened Takin (Budorcas taxicolor)” and its Conservation through sensitization of local communities in Eastern Arunachal Pradesh, India”

SRF

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :  1st Class M. Sc. Zoology/ Wildlife/Forestry/ Env. Sci. and allied discipline with minimum two years of research experience in wildlife field particularly in ornithology and minimum two research publications in peer reviewed journal.

Desirable/preferable : Ability to carry out field work and conduct awareness and wildlife based eco-tourism livelihood generation training programme in protected area of Arunachal Pradesh.

Fellowship : Rs. 28,000/- month + 8% HRA

Field Assistant

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :  B.Sc./M.Sc.1 st Class in Zoology/Wildlife/Forestry/ Environmental Science and allied discipline.

Desirable/preferable : At least one-year field experience in biodiversity assessment in northeast India

Fellowship : Rs. 10,000/-month

JPF (Junior Project Fellow)

Qualification  :  1st Class M Sc. in Wildlife biology/ Wildlife Management/Forestry/ Environmental Science or allied discipline.

Desirable/preferable : Minimum 2-3 years of field research experience in surveying threatened wildlife species in northeast India and ability to carry out field work in high altitude Eastern Himalaya of Arunachal Pradesh.

Fellowship : Rs. 16,000/-month
