Minimum Qualification and Experience Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. With specialization in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science or equivalent with first class or equivalent. GATE qualification in relevant disciplines is mandatory.
a. Desirable : Sound knowledge of fundamentals signal processing. Proficiency in MATLAB/C/C++ programming (some prior hands-on experience is preferable). Knowledge of basic machine learning programming is desirable but not essential. The candidate is expected to have good communication skills and ability to cooperate within a team.
Job Description The selected candidate is expected to perform data collection, and develop tools in MATLAB/Python/C/C++ to analyze the data. The candidate is also expected to implement the research findings in the context of MPEG-D standard. Hence, excellent programming skills are mandatory. He/She is also expected to help in writing reports and compiling the results.
Brief description of Project This project focuses on developing a rendering engine for spatial 3D audio using the object based format. It will involve understanding and implementation of MPEG-D (Spatial Audio Object Coding) and transfer function characteristics of the human auditory system.
