Job description: Project activity slarts with the design orchemistry of new stainless steels with aim of making them highly suitable for surface hardening upon love temperature plasma nitriding. Alloy design will be carried hy utilizing CALPIIAD approach with the help Q/' ThermoCalc software and necessary property database. A/ier that the designed alloys will be produced and subjected to low temperature plasma nitridingfollowed by detailed characterization of nitrided regions employing X-ray diffraction, Electron Probe Micro Analysis, Scanning and Transmission electron microscopies.
