Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow
Title of project: Deep learning-based Linguistic summarization of clustering results for enhanced understanding of novel datasets.
Sponsor of the project: SERB, New Delhi.
Project position(s) and number: Junior Research Fellow(JRF): 01 (one position)
Qualifications:
a. M.E/M Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent with CGPA above 7.0 (on 10.0 scale) or percentage greater than 70% aggregate irrespective of category. OR B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent with CGPA above 7.5 (on 10.0 scale) or percentage greater than 75% aggregate irrespective of category.
b. The candidate must have qualified National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (assistant Professorship) or GATE.
c. The candidate with exposure and interest in data mining, data clustering, deep learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), etc. will be given preference. This is minimum qualification for application, the shortlisting will be done based on applicant's academic performance & their experience in the relevant areas etc.
Emoluments: 31000+ HRA (or as per SERB norms).
Duration: 1 year and likely to be continue up to Project Duration.
Job description: The JRF will be involved in the research and development activities for language-based summarization of the outputs of various clustering algorithms, i.e., automatically generate a summary of the clustering results. The JRF would work towards prototype based sentence generation describing various salient features of clusters and then deep-learning based sentence integration to form a non- mechanical, coherent description of the clustering results using various algorithms on several real-life datasets. Based on performance, the JRF may be considered for PhD enrollment, subject to his eligibility as per the institute norms.
