Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow
Project titled: “Linear and Non-Linear Bulk Rheology of Cell Monolayer”
Positions: 1
Duration: Initially for a period of 6 months. May be extended further, based on performance and continuation of the project. Total duration for three years (or Completion of the project).
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 (HRA @8% will be given if staying out of Campus)
Essential Qualifications:
a) M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or allied branches or a Master's degree by Research in Chemical Engineering or allied branches. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) in their Master's with valid GATE score or UGC-JRF/NET/CSIR-JRF. OR
b) Candidates with a Master’s degree in Science (Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Biotechnology etc.) with a good academic record are eligible. Candidates must have a valid GATE score or UGCJRF/NET/CSIR-JRF or equivalent qualification in the relevant are tenable for the year of registration.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Computational and Experimental Fluid Mechanics and Soft Matter Physics is highly expected. Experience in biology and biological cell culture is desirable but not necessary. (Note: Candidates in their final semester are eligible to apply for this position.)
