National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

Project title: Towards 3‐tesla coercivity Nd‐Fe‐B magnets without dysprosium addition into the bulk

Position title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Duration (in years): 30 months (2.5 years)

Essential qualification: B.E./B.Tech/ or equivalent degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Mechanical Engineering & M.E./M.Tech/ or equivalent degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and related specializations with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA>=6.5/10) in UG & PG to qualify under OC/OBC category and minimum 55% aggregate marks (CGPA>=6.0) for candidates under SC/ST/PwD category. Note: GATE score is mandatory

Desired qualifications: Prior knowledge of materials processing, microstructural characterization and magnetism

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/‐ pm for the first 2 years and 35,000/‐ pm for the third year.

Job nature: Candidate is expected to perform processing and heat treatment of rare‐earth magnetic materials, measure the magnetic properties and characterize their microstructure using XRD, SEM and TEM.

Other benefits: The selected candidates are eligible to register for PhD degree at NIT, Warangal as per institute rules. However, s(he) needs to apply for PhD position when the advertisement is open.
