Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow/ Technical Assistant job position in Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University purely on contractual basis
Project Title : “Mapping and quantitative assessment of plant resources and its distribution in Madhya Pradesh, Central India”
1. Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow
Qualification : Minimum 55% in M.Sc. in Botany/Plant Science/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity Conservation/ Forestry & Ecology. Candidates with NET (UGCCSIR, ICAR) shall be preferred. Desirable: Knowledge of handling GPS device and preparing herbarium sheets. Candidate with experience of extensive field data collection shall be preferred.
Emoluments Per month: Rs. 25000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd and 4th Year. Candidates without NET if selected will be paid @ Rs.16000/- + HRA for initial two years and Rs. 18000 + HRA for the remaining period with the designation of Project fellow/Senior Project fellow respectively. HRA shall be paid as per university rules
2. Technical Assistant (TA)
Qualification : B.Sc. in Botany/ Forestry with interest in extensive field survey. Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having hands on experience in making herbarium and knowledge of computer.
Emoluments Per month : Rs. 12,000 pm + HRA as per university rules.

Dr. Harisingh Gour University, formerly
University of Saugor, was established on 18th July 1946 by Dr.
Harisingh Gour by his lifetime saving. This 18th University of India and
the oldest and the biggest University of Madhya Pradesh has perhaps
the singular distinction of being founded by the munificence of a single
person's hard earned money of about two crore of rupees. Sir Hari Singh
Gour (Nov. 26,1870– Dec. 25,1949). Apart from being a great jurist and
legal luminary par excellence, he was a great Patriot, Philanthropist,
Educationist and Social Reformer. He was the first Vice-Chancellor of
Nagpur University (1936-38). He also held the vice- chancellorship of
the University (1925). Dr. Gour was the founder Vice–Chancellor of the
University. The Govt. of India honored his memory by issuing a
commemorative postage stamp in 1976. The University was rechristened
as Doctor Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya in February 1983 by the
State Legislature.
