Job Description
Responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the unit during working hours
Provides leadership, staff development and resource management.
Ensures quality standards and practices are complied, maintained and evaluated when necessary.
Works closely with OT Supervisor, Doctors to ensure the high standard of service render to the patient and need /exceed customers expectation
Key Responsibilites
To maintain high standard of hygiene sterility through out the procedure
Inside theatre. .
To assist the Anesthetist for all patient related job proper intubation
Proper equipments checked up by biomedical engineer under proper
supervision.
To perform services efficiently effectively as assigned.
To perform documentation according to hospital policy.
Filling up of charge form whatever consumables and disposables usage for
the patient.
Maintain safety of the pt.
Understanding QA in OT.
Personal Professional
To demonstrate good interpersonal skills with the pt., relatives staff at all
times.
To demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, supervisors members of health care team.
To demonstrate universal precaution/ infection control practice according to hospital policy procedure.
To address all personnel in a pleasant respectful manner at all times.
Job Profile According To Shift (day Duty)
Before receiving the patient to OT Technician will check Anaesthesia Machine
with check list other equipments also.
Check OT list prepare the theatre equipments, consumables drugs according to assigned surgery.
Help to bring the pt. to theatre with recovery nurse from pre op pt. area after
checking all the documents with smiling gentle behaviour with the patient.
Do proper positioning of the pt. according to surgery place diathermy pad
according to policy.
In case of female patient maintain the privacy in presence of Female staff nurse.
Get drugs ready after checking expiry and order given by Anaesthetist.
Help Anaesthetist for smooth anaesthesia to the pt.
Operate all the equipments functioning in OT.
Filled up the charge form for store items pharmacy items separately which used for the pt.
Keeps observation of the total monitoring system.
Keep emergency drugs ready inside theatre.
After finishing surgery help with the doctor to do dressing fixation of the drains.
Remove the parameters keep patient in comfortable position.
Shift the pt. from OT Table to trolley by using patient roller.
Shift the pt. to recovery nurse with patient file other documents.
Get theatre ready for next surgery after proper cleaning disinfection of anaesthetic items parameters cable.
Job Profile According To Shift (night Duty)
Check all the theatres about the point of cleaning and fumigation .
Attend any emergency surgery.
Get all the store and pharmacy consumables and disposable items ready for the next day surgery.
Check all the equipments for proper functioning.
Check drug for expiry date.
Check all the locks and keys for valuable items.
