Project Fellow Geography Job vacancies in Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI)
Research programme on : “Preparation of a Wetland Atlas of Kerala”
Essential qualification : 1.First Class M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science/Geoinformatics/Geography/Forestry. 2.Atleast one year work experience in GIS and Remote Sensing.
Desirable : 1. Excellent knowledge on spatial data creation, editing and management. 2. Knowledge in remotely sensed image processing. 3. Experience in doing field research in remote areas. 4. Good report writing skills. 5. Self-initiative and capable of working independently as well as an effective team player 6. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with people in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.

About Company
The Institute is dedicated to research in tropical forestry, environment and biodiversity conservation. In 2003, when the State owned R & D institutions were re-organized to constitute the Kerala State Council for Science and Technology (KSCSTE), KFRI also became part of the latter. The Institute is managed by a Management Committee (MC) chaired by the Director.
