Qualifications

Aquaculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Aquaculture Biotechnology , Molecular Biotechnology, Geology, Physical Oceanography, Fish Processing Technology, Marine Ecology, Marine Biodiversity, Fisheries Economics : (i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub – clauses (i) and (ii) above, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor. (iv) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted

Marketing Management : (i) First Class Master Degree in Business Management/Administration/ M.Com with specialization in Marketing Management or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/ accredited by the AICTE/UGC. OR (ii) First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant/ Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body. (iii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body / State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lecturers, shall be mandatory. 

Desirable : (i) Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; (ii) Paper presented at Conference and / or published in refereed journals

Rural Management : (i) First Class Master Degree in Business Management/Administration with specialization in Rural Management or MSW Degree with atleast 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading systems is followed) at the Master’s level or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/ accredited by the AICTE/UGC. OR (ii) First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant/ Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body. (iii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body / State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lecturers, shall be mandatory.

Remote Sensing & GIS : (i) First Class Masters degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology OR (ii) Ph. D Degree in applied biological science such as remote sensing and GIS/Oceanography 0R (iii) a. Good academic record with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at masters degree level in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from Indian or foreign University. b. Cleared NET by UGC.CSIR/ICAR or similar test accredited by UGC

Physical Education : (i) A Master’s Degree in Physical Education with at least 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and (ii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body / State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lecturers, shall be mandatory

Remuneration

Post Graduation with Ph.D -Rs.35,000/- 

M.Tech -Rs.35,000/-  

Post Graduation with M.Phil/NET -Rs.30,000/-

Application Fee : Rs.300/- for General candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates. Mode of remittance of fee : By cash (University cash counter from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm) or DD from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Finance Officer Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies, Panangad payable at Vyttila Branch.
