Your new role
- Experienced Candidates: If you are an experienced candidate with a qualifying certificate you will be taken through the interview process and placed. You will be working closely with other class teachers and also members of the nursery to work in international standards. You will be required to plan engaging classes and build relationships quickly with the pupils in class.
- Candidates with no experience: As a trainee with no qualifying certificate you will be required to enroll in international certification for nursery teachers offered by Novak Training and get placed as teacher assistant during the traineeship period. On completing the course, you can take up more classroom responsibility. You will be working closely with other class teachers and also members of the nursery who will guide you to become a well-qualified and experienced international nursery teacher. You will be required to plan engaging classes and build relationships quickly with the pupils in class
Typical Duties are to:
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
- Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers. Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
- Establish and enforce rules for behaviour, and procedures for maintaining order.
- Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
- Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
- Observe and evaluate children's performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
- Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced candidate will require a Nursery teacher qualification to be successful in this role.
- Non Experienced Candidates applying for this role must be prepared to enrol for international certification for nursery teaching; newly qualified graduates are welcome to apply for this role.
