Responsibilities and Duties

Performs any combination of following duties to maintain kitchen work areas and kitchen equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition: Sweeps and mops floors.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
Set-up and break down work station.
Steam-cleans or hoses-out garbage cans.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
